Hello world

Yes, my world is pretty narrow right now. I sleep, eat, exercise, work on notes for class, lecture class, answer email, work on my thesis stuff. That's it. Last night I induldged and watched TV for two hours... Nice to let your brain eat junk food for a while.

Let's see since last I posted I have thoroughly met my health insurance deductable for the year by finally getting my knee checked out again. At this poing they feel I either have tendonitis or torn some cartilage. Oh and then I went through a spate of constant headaches for 3 weeks which have landed me a referral to a nerologist. Of course this comes after taking a course of antiboitics, getting a skull X-ray which revealed some sort of calcification on my skull the size of a silver dollar. My mother swears it was self inflicted -- whatever it is.

Other than that I'm well but busy. I don't recommend trying to put together a course from scratch on a subject that you are not an expert in for students who cannot interact with you and attempt to get anything else usefull done.

I'm super busy this week trying to get ahead (it isn't working) so that when I leave for my two conferences next week I'll have all of the lectures prepared and also have a paper to present. You know it is bad when you forget that weekends exist.

Survived another week

Yes, I survived another week. Unfortunately I've used up almost all of the lecture notes I was able to make up before school started. From here on out I'm just trying to keep up. It isn't the notes necessarily that are taking so long as it is the homework! Making up homework takes a really long time.

In other news I'm still sore from both yoga and a new aerobics class I'm taking. I guess the good news is that I'm getting my money's worth out of them.

It looks like Brian finally got part of his thesis theory to work. This could potentially mean that he will graduate sometime before the end of the decade -- I don't really know yet because he sent me an email and then promptly disappeared into a thesis proposal and I've not been able to interrogate him.

Ernesto is flooding Poquoson, by never fear the hampton wal*mart is open. You know things are really bad when the wal*mart closes, so things aren't that bad yet.
